CAREER SUMMARY

Ben Benedetti has worked as both a freelance producer and corporate executive in the entertainment industry for over twenty-five years. He is also an avid outdoorsman and off-road enthusiast. He has backpacked over most of the High Sierras and been camping around the globe. These survivalist skills and lust for adventure allow him to be completely comfortable in challenging circumstances. It is this intense spirit of wanderlust that drives him daily to be the very best professionally, finding new ways of stimulating creative expression, supporting production, and invigorating revenues through technology. He has worked in all phases of production including product development, network administration, studio operations, and facilities management.

Benedetti is also extremely active supporting the production community in the entertainment industry actively serving on various boards and committees of many voluntary organizations. He is an honorary affiliate member of the American Cinema Editors, a past member of the Producers Guild of America, the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE), and sat on the Board of the Sales Resource Committee of the Hollywood Professional Association.

Westwind Media - 2014-present

Benedetti's unique skill set makes him ideal for the role as both the facility's administrator as well as marketing and client service specialist. The facility provides complete post production service packages (including 4k color and full audio finishing) for feature films and television clientele. During Benedettis tenure, Westwinds visibility in the industry has increased and the facility has grown significantly; attracting creative artists and producers, greatly expanding the capacity of production and the generation of revenue.

Sony Pictures Entertainment - Post Production Facilities - 2010-2014

Benedetti was charged with the management of nearly 100 award winning creative and technical employees, as well as filling the roll of sales, marketing and client service executive for the post production facilities on the historic Sony Pictures Studio lot in Culver City. In these capacities, Benedetti provided complete post production service packages for A-List feature films and television clientele. Benedetti directly administrated the award-winning television sound department and was lead sales representative for Sony's Digital Picture Editorial, Colorworks, and Sony Pictures Sound Facility. Under Benedettis leadership, the facility significantly increased over-all client satisfaction and subsequent revenues for television services across all departments.

Charged with development of new revenue streams in new emerging distribution channels and the maintenance of key relationships within entertainment industry.
